I wanted to write you a letter to let you know how much I appreciate everything you have done for me. Since my gastric bypass surgery in September of 2007, I am a new woman!! I am doing things now that I have not done in years. I am doing things now that I knew I would never do again. With your help, I am learning how to do those things again. Life is very different for me now. I can not begin to tell you how much better I feel. Each day is worth waking up for!! It has been a long hard journey but looking back, I have no regrets in my decision. I have lost over 125 pounds as of today and will continue to work until I reach my goal.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to live again. Your thoughtfulness and caring changed my life for good. I owe it all to you. I can do whatever I want when I want. I can buy clothes right off the rack and people act differently to me now. It has changed my life and I feel great!!!

When I first called Forerunners Healthcare Consultants office I was mainly looking for a doctor that could accommodate my father. We had been turned away from numerous doctors because my dad weighed over 500 lbs and we were Self-pay due to our insurance having a written exclusion in our policy. I spoke with Dr Dheeraj Bojwani on the phone that day and told him my dad's weight and he said “we don't discriminate against size or age, we are open for everyone". When I heard those words I knew that God had led us to the right place! We went to our information session and we knew then that this was for us! I had my surgery first since my dad needed some testing done prior to his. It was the best decision I have ever made in my life! Before surgery I was 320 lbs wearing size 24/26 and had horrible back pains, reflux, short of breath, borderline high blood pressure and would get stress fractures if I tried to exercise in my feet. Now I am 5 months post-op and weigh 178 lbs and wear size 10! I would have never dreamed that I would ever wear a size 10 in my life. I have lost 142 lbs and have 13 lbs to lose until my "Goal" for my height, 5'10. Now I can run and ride a bike! I can play outside with my 2 children and not get exhausted. I no longer get stress fractures in my feet from too much walking or exercise. My acid reflux is gone and I am no longer pushing high blood pressure levels. I don't live in fear of getting the family curse of diabetes anymore! With the help of God, Dr Dheeraj Bojwani, the nutritionist, the psychologist, and the rest of the great staff of Forerunners Healthcare Consultants, I have a new lease on life! I am also training for a sprint triathlon for next year. My dad has done fantastic as well! He is a 2 months post op and has lost well over 100 lbs and is still shrinking! I have seen him do things these past few months that he has not been able to do in years! I am so excited about our new healthy lives and continued success!

I’m a very private guy but after my experience with gastric bypass surgery I need to tell the story. After a life long battle with obesity, numerous diets, high blood pressure, fatigue, unhappiness and then finally confrontation by my concerned family, I decided to investigate gastric bypass surgery in India through Forerunners Healthcare Consultants. Before making the decision I talked to a man who had the surgery three years prior through Forerunners Healthcare Consultants and I had one simple question for him. Would you do it again? His answer was yes, without a question. My answer would be exactly the same. Yes yes and yes. Went from 445 to 235 and my life has changed. I am doing things that were just not possible in the past. I can walk the 18 holes of golf, go white water rafting, biking and camping. My grandchildren are pleased that grandpa can now run and play with them. Airline travel is no longer a big ordeal and people will sit next to me now. Friends are now embarrassed by the fact that they don't recognize me. My life has truly been extended, along with an increase in quality and I am making the most of this journey. I’m in good health, almost off all the blood pressure.
